MICHAEL & THE FAIRY, FOLK, & WISDOM STORIES FOR CHILDREN:  In the last 1980’s and early ’90’s, Michael was an elementary school classroom teacher in grades 1st through 4th.  (He was also a substitute teacher in grades K – 8.)  As a teacher, Michael brought storytelling into his classroom – sharing FAIRY, FOLK, AND WISDOM TALES FROM AROUND THE WORLD.  Nearly 30 years later, Michael continues to inspire and enchant young audiences with these stories from across the globe. And he’s always adding more stories to his repertoire!

Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” In sharing these folk, fairy, and wisdom tales with children, Michael’s work is to trigger the imagination, to energize students, to motivate young people as story listeners, storytellers, story readers, and story writers. Michael often says, “I have the best seat in the house. I get to see their faces as the characters are introduced, as the momentum of the tale builds, as the story unfolds.” When Michael tells a tale, he invites his listeners to become part of the story with him. We have a treasure trove of magical legends and brilliant lore. Michael shares pieces of that treasure and we all enjoy the fairy gold!
