MICHAEL & THE SLOVAK TRADITION: Michael has a keen connection to his SLOVAK roots. The gentle voice of his Grandma Kasony, with her beautiful SLOVAK accent, still resounds in his ears. Michael has had the opportunity to visit the little SLOVAK village where his grandparents grew up; He has enjoyed time there with his SLOVAK relatives and hiked in the Tatry Mountains. Mišhko Mícheál is the youngest child of the youngest child of his SLOVAK grandparents who emigrated from Slovakia. Michael’s Grandma and Grandpa Kasony come from the eastern SLOVAK region – an area especially known for its storytellers!
Michael often spices his SLOVAK LEGENDS & TALES with SLOVAK words and proverbs to enhance the richness of these ancient Slavic stories.
